ABOUT ME

I've been playing professionally for more than 30 years, and teaching full time for the past 8 years. I've played rock, blues, jazz and cabaret gigs, done session work in NYC and Chicago, and written original music for films. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from SUNY at Purchase in 1983 and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois at Champaign in 1987.

I am also still a student of the guitar. I take a weekly lesson with my teacher and mentor Frank Rumoro, so I know what it's like to be both a student and teacher. Musical study is an ongoing process - there's always more to learn, new techniques to master, more songs to play. And that's what keeps it interesting.
